Woman’s Place Cell Phone Recycling Program

Did you know that your old, discarded cell phone could save a life?

Through an arrangement with cell phone recyclers, discarded cell phones are refurbished. Some are made available to women who are in need of personal safety. Some are reprogrammed for 911 calls and could be the difference between life and death for a woman (and often her children) in peril.

Woman’s Place collects cell phones to be recycled all year long. Besides aiding in women’s safety, Woman’s Place gets a small donation for each cell phone collected. This has been a help in assuring the continuity and development of our programs.
